Grass Fed Beef For Sale
...a leaner, healthier meat
By Grass Fed we mean, our cattle run on 500 plus acres divided into sections for rotation. We do not give any antibiotics, nor hormones to our cattle. We own and manage all breeding stock, so no outside cattle come into our herd. During cattle rotation that occurs 3 to 4 times a month, we do give about a handful of cubes to our mama cows to get them from one field to the other. USDA says, no grain whatsoever to be "officially" labeled Grass Fed. Grass Fed beef have leaner cuts.
If you are interested in purchasing a calf, we could deliver it to Fischers Meat Market in Muenster Texas for processing or you can pick it up and have it processed elsewhere. You can see their website at http://fischersmeatmarket.com/meatprocessing.html
The calves we have for sale range between 480 to 580 pounds or we can grow them out bigger for you. Price is based on price per pound. Subject to change from week to week according to the market price.
You would then pay for processing and have the ability to tell the processor how you want the meat cut.The processor says that if you maximize cuts for steaks (T-bone, rib-eye, sirloin, flank, flat iron, round) you could get about 50% of the meat as steak, which would leave 30% roasts, ribs, brisket - then about 20% as hamburger, which could be put into patties or bulk. You can always put a higher percentage in burger and/or roasts.
